NotiAlarm Get the app

Get a real alarm when a GitHub Actions run fails

A failed workflow on main shows up as an email or a GitHub notification. Both are easy to miss, especially at night.

A broken deploy can sit for hours before anyone looks.

NotiAlarm

Example: a NotiAlarm alarm ringing on a locked iPhone with silent mode on.

The fix, in 3 steps

  1. Add GitHub in NotiAlarm

Pick GitHub as a source. The app can set up the repository webhook with you, or show the URL to paste.
  2. Send workflow runs

In the repo, open Settings, then Webhooks, then Add webhook. Use content type application/json and tick Workflow runs.
  3. Ring on failures

Alarms read like CI: failure. By default only failures, timeouts, Dependabot alerts and leaked secrets ring.

Prefer one line in a workflow?

Add a Custom webhook source, save its URL as a repository secret, and add this step to the job:
- name: Ring on failure
  if: failure()
  run: curl -d "CI failed on ${{ github.ref_name }}" "${{ secrets.NOTIALARM_URL }}"

Questions

Can I ring for one workflow only?

Yes. Use the curl step in that workflow alone, with a Custom webhook source.

Does it work on private repositories?

Yes, as long as you can manage the repository's webhooks or edit its workflows.

Does it ring when my iPhone is on silent?

Yes. NotiAlarm rings through iOS's own alarm system, the one the Clock app uses. Silent mode and Focus don't stop it.

Is NotiAlarm free?

The free plan covers 1 source and 1 alarm with Apple's default alarm sound. Pro adds unlimited sources and alarms, NotiAlarm's alarm sounds and your own uploads. It costs $4.99 a month or $35.99 a year after a 1-month free trial.

Is there an Android app?

Yes. NotiAlarm is on Google Play for Android 10 or later, and on the App Store for iPhone and iPad with iOS 26.1 or later.
