NotiAlarm Get the app

Ring your phone from a Home Assistant automation

A critical notification from Home Assistant plays its sound once. Sleep through that sound and the alert is gone.

For a water leak or a door opening at night, one sound isn't enough.

Example: a NotiAlarm alarm ringing on a locked iPhone with silent mode on.

The fix, in 3 steps

  1. Add Home Assistant in NotiAlarm

Pick Home Assistant as a source. The app gives you a ready rest_command with your URL filled in.
  2. Paste it into configuration.yaml

Then restart Home Assistant. It looks like this:
    rest_command:
      notialarm:
        url: "https://hook.notialarm.com/<your-id>"
        method: post
        content_type: "application/json"
        payload: '{"message": {{ message | to_json }}}'
  3. Call it from any automation

The message becomes the alarm text:
    action: rest_command.notialarm
    data:
      message: "Front door opened"
